Want to stay and train as close to the race as possible? Consider our Challenge Roth Finish Line Tour. This is a 7-night package at a beautiful, modern 4-star hotel just 800m from the Roth finish line! These highly sought after tour packages are very limited and sell out quickly. ROTH FINISH LINE TOUR

Our Challenge Roth 7-night tours in nearby Nuremberg come in two flavors: stay in a quiet, leafy suburb 5 minutes from the city center, or stay in Nuremberg’s beautiful Old Town with sightseeing, dining and shopping right outside your door.

Regardless of the Nuremberg-based package you choose, your 7 night stay with us will include excellent 4-star or 5-star hotel accommodations plus all the tour services and amenities to ensure you have a worry-free race week experience.

7-NIGHT TOURS

For those who wish to arrive in Germany and have a few days on your own to acclimate, we offer a comprehensive 5-night tour package that can be booked for Nuremberg Park (quiet suburb) or Nuremberg City (Old Town). You’ll stay in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, and have access to all of the exclusive services and amenities of the Challenge Roth Tour. 5-NIGHT TOURS

Please note, the 5-night tours are primarily suitable for guests who are spending time in advance of the race week tour in the local area. If you are traveling from the Americas, please allow yourself the time needed to adjust to the time zone difference and recover fully from your flight. Our 7-night packages with arrival on Tuesday give you the best setup for feeling rested and ready on race day. We can add on a few nights to the 7-night tours at your hotel for some additional training time.

ROTH STEP BY STEP

All Challenge Roth tours include guaranteed access to purchase an individual race entry if you need one. If you already have your race entry, we also welcome you to join any of the tours. Bookings are now open for the 2025 race. Here’s how to book your Challenge Roth experience:

CHOOSE A TOUR. All 7-night tour packages begin on Tuesday and end on the Tuesday after the race. All 5-night tour packages begin on Thursday and end on Tuesday.
SELECT THE DATE. Once you click the green “Book Now” button, look for the mini-calendar and scroll to select the correct tour start date. (Select either Tuesday, July 1, or Thursday, July 3, 2025 for your tour start date.)

3. MAKE YOUR DEPOSIT. A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of $750 USD is required for each athlete and spectator in your booking. All tour packages are priced per person. Spectators will enjoy access to tour transportation, accommodations, tours, shuttles, parties, "swag" and a completely VIP race day experience. The Challenge Roth Tours VIP Race Day program is included for all spectators who are booked into one of the tour packages.

4. CONFIRM. You'll receive confirmation from us by email that your booking has been processed and you are IN. Your race entry access code with instructions will be sent to you separately by email. Race entry fees are not included in the tour package prices; we furnish an online access code and you pay the race entry fee of 749 Euros separately when you register yourself into the race. Race entries are governed by the policies of Challenge Roth. Once your race code is received, you have a short window to register for the race, usually 72 hours, before the code becomes inactive.

5. LEVEL IT UP. Consider adding our Pro Bike Service package at checkout for $195. Space is limited for this popular add-on. We’ll assemble your bike, get you dialed in, perform a safety check and re-package your bike after the race. You also get priority access to our bike mechanics for any bike issues.

6. EXTEND YOUR STAY. You can also separately book our post-Challenge Roth Best of Bohemia extension tour of Prague and Munich to make the most of your time in Europe. We also provide custom itineraries for pre and post-Roth travel in Germany, Austria, Italy and more. In 2025 we anticipate the Tour de France will also be an optional trip extension.

7. GET COVERED. Please mitigate your risk for financial loss in the event you have to cancel your Challenge Roth tour due to unplanned illness, accident or injury that prevents you from traveling or participating in the tour. You can find a number of sources for travel insurance and medical travel insurance. We have partnered with World Nomads for this purpose and you can find more information about what their policies include and get a customized quotation here.

Below are answers to frequently asked questions that pertain to booking, payment schedules, travel insurance, bike rentals, shipments and training plans for Challenge Roth. Please purchase travel insurance in the event you have to cancel your race tour. Changes and cancellations can be processed with partial refund to you until December 30, 2024. After this date, all sales are final and no changes or refunds will be made, no exceptions. All $750 initial deposits are non-refundable, as they are used to secure your spot on tour. Please take travel insurance to mitigate your possible financial loss due to unplanned cancellation due to illness, accident or injury. Up until December 30, 2024 if you notify us in writing on or before that date, we can immediately process your refund, less your initial $750 non-refundable deposit per traveler. AFTER DECEMBER 30, 2024 no cancellations, changes, or refunds are permitted, no exceptions. If Challenge Roth must postpone the race date, your tour package will accompany the new date at no additional charge to you.
We confirm every booking with a $750 initial non-refundable deposit per traveler (athlete or spectator). A second installment of 50% of the balance due is collected automatically on July 1. The remaining (final) balance is collected automatically on September 30, 2024. All balances are collected using the credit card on file, unless you specify otherwise. You also have the option of paying in full at time of booking. Any tour booking made after September 30, 2024, will require full payment. Please contact us if you need a customized payment plan. "Can I bring my whole team or club?" YES. The beauty of booking with us is we can accommodate your group, ensuring that every team or club member gets access into Challenge Roth, and no one is left out. The tours sell out quickly, so get your team list together as early as possible. We are happy to work with you on custom pricing for any group of 10 or more travelers.
Spectators who book our tours get the VIP treatment! In addition to the accommodation, transportation, daily breakfast, and all tour amenities, we provide them with a comprehensive race day that allows them to see the swim, bike, run and finish line area. We transport and guide your loved ones from point to point all day in this logistically complex event. With most of the roads closed, and transitions miles apart, our VIP spectator tour is THE best way to see the race. We provide transport, food, drinks, and a special area of the stadium just for our group.
Spectators and Athletes pay the same price for all versions of the Challenge Roth tour. Spectators enjoy all the same services and amenities, accommodations, etc. as the athletes. Children ages 12 and under (age on race day), have reduced tour pricing.
"Can I ship my bike over? Can I ship it home one-way?" Yes and Yes.
Several companies offer this type of service. We recommend LuggageForward (link at the bottom of this page). Please allow plenty of time for your bike shipment to arrive (typically 7-8 business days, standard service). Do not pack anything but your bike into the box, and do not place CO2 cartridges or water bottles into your bike box or luggage. These items tend to hold your shipment up in Customs, and can easily be purchased at the race expo.
We have professional bike service managers that work at our hotels during your stay if you have a bike repair emergency. You can also add our Pro Bike Service package at check out that includes bike building, safety and performance check, and repacking your bike after the race for $195. (Limited spaces; this service fills up quickly, so add this at checkout so you don't miss out!)
In 2023, Challenge Roth formed a partnership with an excellent race bike rental company that operates at the Expo. This might be an option if you do not want to travel to Europe with your bike. The cost is reasonable, and bike fittings are done on site. The company is called France Bike Rentals. Check out this link for more details.
