Challenge Roth Videos and Course Notes

This is a collection of some of the videos we filmed on the Challenge Roth course, combined with some of our favorites filmed by others. For 2018 we have placed PDFs of the swim, bike and run course maps. As part of your Challenge Roth tour, you will be given a guided tour, bike course preview, swim session in the canal, and short run along the canal.  You also will not want to miss the Guided Race Day Visualization session from our pro guide, Jessica Jacobs.

We look forward to helping you feel confident in the lead up to Challenge Roth!

Coming up the famous "Solar Hill" and getting a mental push from 50,000 fans in a 1-mile segment.

Here's a fast drive through Greding and some of the climbs on the bike course. We will guide you through the bike course and point out the most important features: where you will want to down shift, where the sharp turns are, and where you may experience some cross winds.

Run Course: The Canal

Your Challenge Roth run course for 2018 is a one-loop treat. In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the race, the organizers have combined the best features of past routes to give you a flat, fast, supported course with several "hot spots." The Canal portion of the course offers a chance to get into a good run rhythm.

Run Course: Buchenbach

The picturesque village of Buchenbach transforms into the "Solar Hill" of the run course. The residents are very proud to be part of this race, and they will give you all the encouragement you need to finish strong! Once into town, there's a small lake you will run around that is surrounded by fans and music.

The swim start at the canal is lined with spectators. Each "wave" will enter the water and be given a proper cannon shot to start their race.
